Candlelight Vigil and Clothesline Project

Candlelight Vigil

Participate in the Candlelight Vigil beginning at 6:30 pm with live music from local artist(s), speakers, and the lighting of candles. The candlelight vigil is a way to remember the victims of relationship violence, honor the survivors, and to act to create change. At the end, we will have a moment of silences for those we have lost and would like to remember.

Resource Fair

Enjoy gathering togther to learn more about all the great resources available to the Douglas County Community.  Organizations will be availalbe beginning at 5:30 pm through 6:30 pm to answer quetsions, share their resources.

Clothesline Project

Display of t-shirts decorated by survivors, allies, and those who have lost loved ones to violence.  Attendees are encouraged to create a shirt at home or at the event. The purpose of this event is to increase awareness of the impact of violence and abuse, to honor a survivor's strength.

Listen to impactful speakers that show through their own experiences how they remember those who have been killed or harmed by abuse, honor the surviors, and to act to make a difference today.
